Privacy notice

Updated October 2026

This notice explains how Cedar Accord handles personal information when you visit this website, contact us or work with us. You can reach us at contactus@cedaraccord.com.

What we collect

  • What you send us through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, organisation, details about your footage and any link to samples you choose to share.
  • Records of our correspondence, calls and any agreement we sign with you.
  • If you ask for our checklist: your email address, and whether you would like occasional updates.

This website uses no cookies and no analytics. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security.

Why we use it

  • To reply to you and discuss whether we can help (steps before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries).
  • To introduce you to licensing platforms when you ask us to, and to carry out our agreement with you (performance of a contract).
  • To send the checklist you asked for and get in touch once about working together (our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries).
  • To send occasional market updates, only if you tick the box (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying “unsubscribe”).
  • To keep business and tax records (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

  • Licensing platforms, only when you ask us to introduce you.
  • Service providers that run this website and our email: Netlify (hosting and our forms) and Google Workspace (email). Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area, under safeguards required by data protection law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We never sell your information, and we only send updates to people who ask for them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and checklist requests that do not lead to working together are deleted within 12 months. If you asked for updates, we keep your email until you unsubscribe. Records of agreements and payments are kept for as long as tax law requires, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email contactus@cedaraccord.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
